The person you speak with is there to hear your situation and talk through next steps.

1. You share your town, your symptoms and the type of home. 2. A provider in the network that fits your need gets in touch. 3. You describe the problem in more detail and ask your questions. 4. The provider explains options and gives you an estimate. 5. You decide whether to book.

What to Ask a Provider

Good questions protect you and your home. Ask:

• Do you hold the license or permit required here?
• What do you think is causing this, and how will you confirm it?
• Is the quote written, and what could change it?
• Will you tell me what you find in the tank, pipe or drainfield?
• Do you offer drainfield repair, emergency septic cleaning or water well service, if I need them?
• What should I do and not do until you arrive?

• Do not pour chemical drain cleaners into a septic system.
• Do not open a tank lid yourself. Tanks hold harmful gases.
